Clinical Study of Modified Orbicularis Oculi Muscle Shortening Combined with Internal Tarsal Fixation in the Treatment of Senile Lower Entropion
Objective:To analyze the clinical effect of modified orbicularis oculi muscle shortening combined with internal tarsal fixation in the treatment of senile lower entropion.Method:A total of 60 patients with senile lower entropion treated in Zhongshan Sanxiang Hospital from March 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the study objects, and they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with eyelid cutaneous orbicularis oculi muscle resection, and the observation group was treated with modified orbicularis oculi muscle shortening combined with internal tarsal fixation. The clinical efficacy, satisfaction, skin scar around eye and incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups.Result:At 7 d after surgery, there were no significant differences in clinical efficacy and satisfaction between the two groups(P>0.05).Six months after surgery, there was no significant difference in clinical efficacy between the two groups(P>0.05),but the satisfaction of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Six months after surgery, the incidence of periocular skin scar and the total incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:In the treatment of senile lower entropion, the modified orbicularis oculi muscle shortening combined with internal tarsal fixation has a good effect and plays an important role in improving satisfaction and treatment safety.
