Comparison of the Effect of Angelson Therapy and Traditional External Stripping and Internal Ligation in the Treatment of Annular Mixed Hemorrhoids
Objective:To compare the effect of Angelson therapy and traditional external stripping and internal ligation in the treatment of annular mixed hemorrhoids.Method:A total of 300 patients treated with annular mixed hemorrhoids surgery in Beijing First Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected and divided into experimental group(150 cases)and control group(150 cases)according to envelope random method. The control group received Milligan-Morgan(MM),and the experimental group received Angelson therapy. The efficacy, clinical indexes, pain sensation and related complications of the two groups were compared.Result:The total effective rate after treatment of the experimental group was 100.00%,compared with 99.33%of the control group, the differences was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The amount of blood loss in the experimental group was less than that in the control group, and the operation time, hospital stay and wound healing time in the experimental group were shorter than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The visual analogue scale(VAS)score of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group on 1 d and 6 d after surgery, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total complication rate of experimental group was 2.00%,which was lower than 6.67%of control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Both Angelson therapy and traditional MM surgery can achieve certain therapeutic effects in the treatment of circular mixed hemorrhoids. However,Angelson therapy can shorten the duration of hospitalization and wound healing, alleviate the pain, and reduce complications.
