Influence of Case Management Model on Self-management and Social Life in AIDS Patients
Objective:To explore the influence of case management model on self-management and social life in patients with acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS).Method:A total of 102 AIDS patients admitted to the Outpatient Department of Infection Department of Nanjing Second Hospital from January to September 2023 were selected as the study objects,and randomly divided into control group(51 cases)and observation group(51 cases).The control group was treated with routine nursing mode,and the observation group was treated with case management model.Self-management behavior,psychosocial adaptability and social support scores were compared between the two groups before and after intervention.Result:Before intervention,there were no significant differences in self-management behavior,psychosocial adaptability and social support scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After intervention,the scores of self-management behavior,subjective support,objective support and total scores of social support in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the scores of psychosocial adaptation were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in support utilization scores between the two groups after intervention(P>0.05).Conclusion:The case management model can relieve the anxiety and depression of AIDS patients,enhance their positive behavior of combating the disease,improve self-management ability,social adaptability and social support.
