Effect of Comprehensive Detumescence Intervention on Patients with Breast Cancer-related Lymphoedema
Objective:To explore the effect of comprehensive detumescence intervention on patients with breast cancer-related lymphedema(BCRL).Method:A total of 118 patients with BCRL after breast cancer surgery admitted to Nanping First Hospital from July 2021 to February 2023 were selected as the study objects, and they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 59 cases in each group. The control group received upper limb exercise training, and the observation group was treated with comprehensive detumescence intervention on the basis of the control group. The swelling degree of affected limb, circumference of affected arm, range of motion and quality of life[Fugl-Meyer assessment scale(FMA)score,Bathel index(BI)]were compared between the two groups before and after intervention.Result:After intervention, the swelling degree of the affected limb in the observation group was less than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the circumference of the affected arm in both groups was shorter than that before intervention;shoulder flexion, pronation, extension, abduction angle,FMA score and BI score of the affected limb were all higher than those before intervention;the circumference of the affected arm in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group;shoulder flexion, pronation, extension, abduction angle,FMA score and BI score of the affected limb in the observation group were all higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Comprehensive detumescence intervention can effectively reduce the swelling degree of the affected limb in BCRL patients and improve the mobility and quality of life of the affected limb.
