Application of Budesonide Nasal Spray in Patients with Chronic Sinusitis and Nasal Polyps after Surgery
Objective:To explore the application effect of Budesonide Nasal Spray in patients with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps after surgery.Method:A total of 105 patients with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps who treated in the Otolaryngology Department of Hai'an Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from April 2021 to April 2023 were selected as the subjects,they were divided into the control group(n=50)and the observation group(n=55)according to different treatment methods.The control group was treated with functional endoscopic sinus surgery(FESS),the observation group was treated with Budesonide Nasal Spray on the basis of the control group.The Lund-Kennedy nasal endoscopic score,nasal subjective symptom visual analogue scale(VAS)score,complication rate and recurrence rate were compared between two groups.Result:Before surgery,there were no significant differences in the Lund-Kennedy nasal endoscopic score and nasal subjective symptom VAS score between two groups(P>0.05);at 6 months after surgery,the Lund-Kennedy nasal endoscopic scores and nasal subjective symptom VAS scores of two groups were lower than those before surgery,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications and recurrence rate in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Budesonide Nasal Spray in patients with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps after surgery can improve the morphology of nasal mucosa,relieve postoperative adverse symptoms,and prevent postoperative complications and recurrence.
