Expression and Predictive Value of SOCS-3 and Gadd45β in Children with Sepsis Associated Encephalopathy
Objective:To analyze the expression and predictive value of suppressor of cytokine signaling-3(SOCS-3)and growth arrest and DNA-damage inducible gene β(Gadd45β)in children with sepsis associated encephalopathy.Method:A total of 22 children with sepsis associated encephalopathy who admitted to Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital from January 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the study group, and 42 children with sepsis without associated encephalopathy were selected as the control group during the same period.Tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),immune function indexes and the expression condition of SOCS-3 and Gadd45β in two groups were detected and compared, the predictive value of SOCS-3 and Gadd45β in sepsis associated encephalopathy was analyzed.Result:The levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).CD4+,CD4+/CD8+in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and CD8+was higher than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The expression condition of SOCS-3 and Gadd45β in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis of SOCS-3 and Gadd45β combined prediction value was the highest. Conclusion:Children with sepsis associated encephalopathy have increased inflammation, decreased immune level, and high expression of SOCS-3 and Gadd45β,both have certain diagnostic value for sepsis associated encephalopathy, and the combined diagnosis has more obvious clinical significance, providing a new target and strategy for clinical treatment.
