Application of IMB Model Combined with Nutrition Management in Surgical Care of Patients with Hypertension and Esophageal Cancer
Objective:To explore the application effect of information-motivation-behavior(IMB)model combined with nutrition management in surgical care of patients with hypertension and esophageal cancer.Method:A total of 84 patients with hypertension and esophageal cancer who admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2021 to March 2023 were selected as the study objects, the patients were divided into the control group(routine nursing)and the observation group(IMB model combined with nutrition management)according to the random number table method, with 42 cases in each group. The blood pressure, nutritional indexes and surgical tolerance of two groups were compared.Result:After intervention, the systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure of two groups were lower than those before intervention, and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);after intervention, the levels of serum prealbumin, albumin and hemoglobin in two groups were higher than those before intervention, and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the excellent and good rate of surgical tolerance in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:IMB model combined with nutrition management can control the blood pressure levels in patients with hypertension and esophageal cancer, improve nutritional status, enhance surgical tolerance, and provide strong support for postoperative recovery.
