Application of Acupoint Application Combined with Modified Simo Decoction in Elderly Patients with Functional Constipation
Objective:To study the application of acupoint application combined with modified Simo Decoction in elderly patients with functional constipation.Method:A total of 128 elderly patients with functional constipation were selected who treated in the Outpatient Department and Inpatient Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Ethnic Hospital from October 2016 to October 2022.According to the method of random number table,they were divided into the control group and the study group,64 cases in each group.The control group was given Bisacodyl Enteric-coated Tablets,and the study group was given acupoint application combined with modified Simo Decoction on the basis of the control group.Traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,fecal character,defecation interval time,electromyogram index of abdominal muscle group before and after treatment,clinical efficacy,adverse reactions and recurrence condition were compared between two groups.Result:After treatment,the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,Bristol scores and defecation interval time of two groups were decreased,and the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score and Bristol score of the study group were lower than those of the control group,and the defecation interval time was shorter than that of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the 3 s contraction amplitude(FSC),10 s contraction amplitude(10SC)and net pressure(net)of two groups were increased,and the 10 s relaxation pressure(10SR)was decreased,the FSC,10SC and NET of the study group were higher than those of the control group,and the 10SR was lower than that of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the study group was 95.31%(61/64),which was higher than 82.81%(53/64)of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between two groups(P>0.05);6 months of follow-up,the recurrence rate of the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint application combined with modified Simo Decoction addition and subtraction can effectively improve the symptoms of elderly patients with functional constipation,promote intestinal emptying,improve clinical efficacy,with good safety,and low recurrence rate.
