Clinical Effect of Mesalazine Combined with Berberine Hydrochloride Tablets in the Treatment of Patients with Ulcerative Colitis
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of Mesalazine combined with Berberine Hydrochloride Tablets in the treatment of patients with ulcerative colitis(UC).Method:A total of 100 patients with UC admitted to Yancheng First People's Hospital from March 2021 to March 2023 were selected as the study objects.They were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method,with 50 cases in each group.Both groups were given symptomatic treatment after admission,the control group was given Mesalazine,and the observation group was given Berberine Hydrochloride Tablets on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,symptom improvement time,intestinal mucosal barrier function and inflammatory factors before and after 3 months of treatment were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate of observation group was 98.00%,which was significantly higher than 82.00%of control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The improvement time of abdominal pain,diarrhea,pus and blood stool in the observation group was earlier than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 3 months of treatment,the levels of diamine oxidase(DAO)and D-lactic acid(D-LA)in both groups were decreased,and the levels of DAO and D-LA in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 3 months of treatment,the levels of C-reactive protein(CRP)and interleukin-1β(IL-1β)were significantly decreased in both groups,while the levels of interleukin-10(IL-10)were significantly increased,the levels of CRP and IL-1β in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the levels of IL-10 were significantly higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Mesalazine combined with Berberine Hydrochloride Tablets in the treatment of UC can effectively improve intestinal mucosal barrier function and reduce the level of inflammatory factors.
