Clinical Effect of Endo-ULBD in the Treatment of Senile Lumbar Spinal Stenosis
Objective:To explore the clinical effect of endoscopy-unilateral laminectomy for bilateral decompression(Endo-ULBD)in the treatment of senile lumbar spinal stenosis.Method:A total of 64 elderly patients with lumbar spinal stenosis admitted to the Spinal Surgery Department of Sinan County People's Hospital from February to November 2023 were selected.According to Excel random number generator grouping method, they were divided into reference group and study group,32 cases in each group. The control group received the open decompression fusion and internal fixation surgery, the study group underwent Endo-ULBD.The perioperative indexes, operative effect, lumbar function before and 3 months after surgery and complications were compared between two groups.Result:The operation time and hospital stay of the study group were shorter than those of the control group, the amount of intraoperative blood loss was less than that of the control group, and the medical cost was higher than that in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Three months after surgery, the excellent and good rate of the study group was higher than that of the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At 3 months after surgery, the Oswestry disability index(ODI)score of the study group was lower than that of the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complication of the study group was lower than that of the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Endo-ULBD is superior to open decompression fusion and internal fixation surgery in the treatment of senile lumbar spinal stenosis, which can reduce surgical trauma, improve clinical efficacy and reduce complications, but it will increase medical expenses.
