Application of Continuous Glucose Monitoring Technology in Patients with Diabetes
Objective:To explore the application of continuous glucose monitoring technique in diabetic patients.Method:The clinical data of 180 patients with diabetes who were inpatients and outpatients in Endocrinology Department of Liupanshui People's Hospital from January to December 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into control group and observation group according to different blood glucose monitoring methods,90 cases in each group.Fingertip blood glucose monitoring was performed in control group, and continuous glucose monitoring was performed in observation group.Blood glucose level, blood glucose attainment condition, blood glucose fluctuation condition, insulin dosage and hypoglycemia condition were compared between the two groups.Result:The blood glucose levels before and after lunch and dinner in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The average blood glucose value in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the time of blood glucose in the target range(TIR)was higher than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in maximum blood glucose fluctuation(LAGE)between the two groups(P>0.05).The interquartile interval(IQR)and decile interval(IDR)in the observation group were smaller than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The average daily insulin consumption in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=4.849,P<0.001).The incidence of hypoglycemia in the observation group was 18.89%,which was lower than 42.22%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The effect of continuous glucose monitoring in diabetic patients is better than that of fingertip blood glucose monitoring, which can reduce blood glucose fluctuation and insulin dosage.
