Clinical Effect of Escitalopram Oxalate Combined with Sodium Valproate in the Treatment of Patients with Bipolar Disorder Manic Episode
Objective:To study the clinical effect of Escitalopram Oxalate combined with Sodium Valproate in the treatment of patients with bipolar disorder(BD)manic episode.Method:A total of 76 BD manic episode patients admitted to Xiamen Fifth Hospital from July 2022 to July 2023 were selected as the study objects and divided into two groups according to random number table method, with 38 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Sodium Valproate, and the observation group was treated with Escitalopram Oxalate combined with Sodium Valproate. The clinical efficacy,Bech-Rafaelsen mania rating scale(BRMS)score, social dysfunction screening scale(SDSS)score, positive and negative symptom scale(PANSS)score, cognitive function[Wisconsin card classification test(WCST),trail-making test(TMT)],neurotransmitter[serum triiodothyronine(T3),brain-derived neuronutrition factor(BDNF),5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)]and the occurrence of adverse reactions between the two groups were compared.Result:The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in symptoms, function, cognitive function and neurotransmitter between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,BRMS score,SDSS score,PANSS score, number of persistent errors, number of erroneous responses,TMT-A,TMT-B in observation group were lower than those in control group, and the number of completed classification, number of correct responses,T3,BDNF,5-HT were higher than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Escitalopram Oxalate combined with Sodium Valproate in the treatment of BD manic episode can improve the neurological function of patients, alleviate clinical symptoms, and enhance the cognitive and social functions of patients, with accurate efficacy and high safety.
