Effect of Complete Endoscopic Thyroidectomy via Oral Vestibulo Neck Median Route in the Treatment of Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma
Objective:To explore the effect of complete endoscopic thyroidectomy via oral vestibulo neck median route in the treatment of papillary thyroid carcinoma.Method:Ninety-eight patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma admitted to Yangjiang People's Hospital from May 2021 to May 2023 were selected as the study objects.They were divided into control group(n=49)and experimental group(n=49)according to random number table method.The control group was given open thyroidectomy,and the experimental group was given complete endoscopic thyroidectomy via oral vestibulo neck median route.The perioperative indexes,swallowing function and quality of life before surgery and one week after surgery,pain degree before surgery,72 h after surgery and 14 d after surgery and complications of the two groups were compared.Result:The postoperative hospitalization time of experimental group was shorter than that of control group,and the intraoperative blood loss volume was less than that of control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At 1 week after surgery,the standard swallowing function assessment scale(SSA)scores decreased in both groups,while the health survey brief form(SF-36)scores increased,the SSA of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group,the SF-36 score was higher than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At 72 h and 14 d after surgery,the visual analogue scale(VAS)scores of the two groups were higher than those before surgery,while the VAS scores of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group;on 14 d after surgery,the VAS scores of the two groups were lower than that 72 h after surgery,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The results of repeated measurement analysis of variance showed that there were statistically significant differences between groups,time and interaction of VAS before surgery,72 h and 14 d after surgery(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Complete endoscopic thyroidectomy via oral vestibulo neck median route can reduce the surgical trauma,have little effect on swallowing function,and alleviate pain in patients with papillary thyroid cancer.
