Clinical Efficacy of Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty on Single Compartment Knee Osteoarthritis
Objective:To investigate the effect of unicompartmental knee arthroplasty on single compartment knee osteoarthritis.Method:A total of 80 patients with single compartment knee osteoarthritis treated in the Affiliated People's Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the study objects, and they were divided into the control group(total knee arthroplasty)and the study group(unicompartmental knee arthroplasty)by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group.Blood loss, knee function, inflammatory factors and complications were compared between the two groups.Result:The recessive blood loss, dominant blood loss and total blood loss in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before surgery, there were no significant differences in knee joint motion,Hospital for Special Surgery(HSS)knee joint score,interleukin-8(IL-8),chemokine-5(CCL-5)and nitric oxide(NO)levels between the two groups(P>0.05).After 3 months of follow-up,knee joint activity and HSS score in both groups were higher than those before surgery, serum CCL-5,IL-8 and NO levels were lower than those before surgery, knee joint activity and HSS score in study group were higher than those in control group, serum CCL-5,IL-8 and NO levels were lower than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total complication rate of the study group was 0,which was lower than 15.00%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with total knee arthroplasty, unicompartmental knee arthroplasty has more advantages in the treatment of single compartment knee osteoarthritis, with less damage, and can effectively reduce the level of inflammatory factors and the risk of deep venous embolism of lower limbs, and the patients have better knee functional recovery.
