Application Effect of Artificial Nose in Airway Management of Patients with Laryngopharyngeal Malignant Tumors Undergoing Tracheotomy
Objective:To explore the application effect of artificial nose in airway management of patients with laryngopharyngeal malignant tumors undergoing tracheotomy.Method:A total of 83 patients with laryngeal malignancy undergoing tracheotomy admitted to the Department of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck, the People's Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from July 2022 to September 2023 were retrospectively selected. The control group was given traditional tracheotomy airway management, and the experimental group was given artificial nose tracheotomy airway management based on the control group. The sputum viscosity, the incidence of sputum scab blocking airway, blood oxygen saturation, the positive rate of sputum bacteria culture and the incidence of pulmonary infection were compared between the two groups.Result:The sputum viscosity of experimental group was better than that of control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of airway obstruction by phlegm scab in experimental group was lower than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The blood oxygen saturation of experimental group in the morning, noon and evening was higher than that of control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).On the 15th day after tracheotomy, the positive rates of sputum bacteria culture in experimental group were lower than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of pulmonary infection in experimental group was lower than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Artificial nose is more in line with human physiological airway heating and humidification and filtration methods, which can improve the nursing effect of patients with tracheotomy to a certain extent and reduce the incidence of lung infection.
