Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of self-prepared Tiaofei Sanjie Decoction on pulmonary nodules.Method:A total of 103 patients with pulmonary nodules admitted to Qingliu County General Hospital from January 2019 to June 2023 were randomly divided into study group(n=52)and control group(n=51).The control group was given placebo,and the study group was given self-designed Tiaofei Sanjie Decoction.The nodule diameter,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,pulmonary function indexes[forced vital capacity(FVC),the forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),FEV1/FVC%],and immune and inflammatory indexes[interleukin-6(IL-6),CD4+/CD8+,immunoglobulin G(IgG)]were compared between the two groups.Result:Before treatment,there were no significant differences in nodule diameter,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,lung function indexes and immune and inflammatory indexes between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the nodule diameter of the study group was smaller than that before treatment and the control group,the scores of traditional Chinese medicine primary symptoms and secondary symptoms and IL-6 levels were lower than those before treatment and the control group,and the levels of FVC,FEV1,FEV1/FVC%,CD4+/CD8+and IgG were higher than those before treatment and the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Self-prepared Tiaofei Sanjie Decoction in the treatment of small pulmonary nodules is beneficial to shrink nodules,relieve inflammation,correct immune imbalance and improve lung function.
