The Application Effect and Safety of Simo Tang and Chengqi Tang Assisted with Conventional Western Medicine in Elderly Constipated Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Objective:To analyze the clinical significance of providing Simo Tang combined with Chengqi Tang as an adjunct to conventional Western medicine treatment for elderly patients with constipated irritable bowel syndrome.Method:Sixty elderly patients with constipated irritable bowel syndrome admitted to Huidong County People's Hospital in Huizhou City,Guangdong Province from March 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the study subjects.They were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method,with 30 cases in each group.The observation group patients were treated with Si Mo Tang He Cheng Qi Tang as an auxiliary to conventional Western medicine,while the patients of control group were treated with routine Western medicine.The differences between the two groups of patients after different treatments were compared.Result:The control of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome integral,treatment effect,clinical indications,and improvement of related indicators in the observation group were better than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Using Simo Tang combined with Chengqi Tang as an adjunct to conventional Western medicine in the treatment of elderly patients with constipated irritable bowel syndrome,which can improve their clinical indications and related indicators,and achieve ideal treatment effects.
