Effect of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Combined with Core Strength Training on Patients with Thoracolumbar Compression Fractures
Objective:To investigate the effects of acceptance and commitment therapy combined with core strength training in patients with thoracolumbar compression fractures.Method:80 patients with thoracolumbar spine compression fracture who hospitalized in the First Hospital of Fujian Medical University from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into the control group and the observation group using the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were given conventional rehabilitation care, and the patients in the observation group were given acceptance and commitment therapy combined with core muscle strength training. The coping styles, psychological resilience scores,adherence,post-traumatic growth scores, lumbar spine function, and the occurrence of complications were compared between the two groups.Result:Before the intervention, there were no statistically significant differences in coping styles, psychological resilience,post-traumatic growth scores, and lumbar spine function between the two groups(P>0.05).After the intervention, the psychological elasticity,post-traumatic growth score, and total adherence rate to rehabilitation exercises of the patients in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the lumbar spine function score was lower than those in the control group, and the complication rate was lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acceptance and commitment therapy combined with core muscle strength training, which has a positive impact on patients with thoracolumbar compression fractures by increasing the level of psychological resilience, changing the coping styles of patients, increasing the level of post-traumatic growth, which in turn improves patients'adherence to rehabilitation exercises, reduces postoperative complications, and improves the level of patients'lumbar spine function.
