Epidemiological Characteristics and Nursing Highlights of Elderly Patients with Hip,Femur and Tibia Fractures Caused by Falls in a Hospital
Objective:To analyze and compare the difference of the prevalence factors in elderly patients with different types of fractures.Method:A retrospective study was conducted on 4 396 elderly patients with fractures caused by falls admitted to the orthopedics department of the hospital.Describing and comparing the differences in epidemiological factors(gender, fracture site, age, type)among patients with different types of fractures.Result:Among the 4 396 patients, there were 2 208 hip fractures,1 382 femoral fractures and 1 104 tibial fractures. There were statistically significant differences in the fracture site, age and fracture type composition of hip fracture patients(P<0.05),and the patients with left side(54.12%),71~80 years old(41.30%)and 31-B type(53.58%)were dominant. There were statistically significant differences in comparation of gender, fracture site, age and AO type composition of patients with femoral fracture(P<0.05),and the majority of patients were female(55.28%),left(53.98%),71~80 years old(45.15%),and AO type 31-A2(58.47%).Patients with fracture of tibial fracture type, age,Schatzker points of difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),the left side(56.43%),71~80(47.46%),Schatzker type Ⅱ type(23.91%)patients.Conclusion:To fracture of elderly patients are mostly by the fall in 71-80,and mainly in the left, hip fracture classification is given priority to with 31-B,femur fracture classification are mainly composed of 31-A2,tibia fracture classification mainly Ⅱ type and Ⅲ type.
