Clinical Observation of Rotational Acetabular Osteotomy Combined with Acetabuloplasty in School-age Children with Developmental Dislocation of Hip
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of rotational acetabular osteotomy(RAO)combined with acetabuloplasty in school-age children with developmental dislocation of hip(DDH).Method:The clinical data of 60 school-age children with DDH who admitted to the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from January to December 2023 were retrospectively analyzed, the children were divided into the observation group and the control group according to different treatment methods, with 30 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with RAO combined with acetabuloplasty, the control group was treated with acetabuloplasty. The clinical efficacy, changes of acetabular index,CE angle and femoral neck anteversion angle before and 3 months after operation, hip joint mobility, hip flexion degree and Harris hip function score at 3 months after operation, and postoperative complications were compared between two groups.Result:Compared with the control group, the excellent and good rate of the observation group at 3 months after operation was higher, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At 3 months after surgery, the acetabular index and femoral neck anteversion angle of two groups were decreased, and CE angle were increased, the improvement of each indexes in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The hip joint mobility, hip flexion degree and Harris hip function score in the observation group at 3 months after operation were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of postoperative complications between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:RAO combined with acetabuloplasty has high clinical excellent and good rate in school-age children with with DDH,which is beneficial to promote the recovery of acetabular index,CE angle and femoral neck anteversion angle, and improve hip function.
