Application of Ureteroscopic Holmium Laser Lithotripsy in Middle-aged and Elderly Patients with Kidney Stones
Objective:To study the application effect of ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy(FURSL)in the treatment of middle-aged and elderly patients with kidney stones(KS).Method:A total of 72 middle-aged and elderly KS patients admitted to Xingyi People's Hospital from November 2021 to November 2023 were selected as the study subjects, and randomly divided into an observation group(36 cases)and a control group(36 cases).Observation group received FURSL treatment, control group received percutaneous nephrolithotripsis(PCNL)treatment.Perioperative indexes(operation time, intraoperative blood loss, operation cost, length of hospital stay),stone clearance rate and incidence of complications(delayed bleeding, infection, kidney injury, fever)were compared between the two groups.Result:The operation time and hospital stay in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, the amount of intraoperative blood loss was less than that in the control group, the total complication rate was lower than that in the control group, and the operation cost was higher than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in stone clearance between the two groups at 1 d and 30 d after operation(P>0.05).Conclusion:In the treatment of middle-aged and elderly KS patients, the stone clearance rate of FURSL and PCNL is high, the cost of PCNL is low,but the trauma is large, while the cost of FURSL is high, but the trauma is small, and the safety is high.
