Effect of Nasal Endoscopic Minimally Invasive Surgery in the Treatment of Patients with Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps
Objective:To investigate the effect of nasal endoscopic minimally invasive surgery in the treatment of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps(CRSwNP).Method:A total of 120 patients with CRSwNP admitted to the First People's Hospital of Xiaogan City from January 2020 to October 2022 were selected. They were divided into control group(60 cases)and observation group(60 cases)according to random number table method. The control group received traditional surgery, and the observation group received nasal endoscopic minimally invasive surgery. The clinical efficacy, perioperative indexes, nasal function, quality of life before and 6 months after surgery and complications were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Surgery time, hospital stay and nasal mucosa recovery time in observation group were shorter than those in control group, and intraoperative blood loss volume was less than that in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Six months after surgery, ciliary delivery rate(MTR)increased, and total nasal airway resistance and olfactory function decreased in both groups,MTR of observation group was higher than that of control group, while total nasal airway resistance and olfactory function were lower than those of control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Six months after surgery, the scores of sinusitis related symptoms, nasal symptoms, emotional disorders and sleep disorders and total scores were decreased in both groups, and the scores of sinusitis related symptoms, nasal symptoms, emotional disorders and sleep disorders and total scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of nasal endoscopic minimally invasive surgery in patients with CRSwNP can help alleviate clinical symptoms, improve nasal airflow, olfactory function, ciliary transport function, promote postoperative recovery, improve quality of life, improve clinical efficacy, and with high safety.
