Effect of Tongxinluo Capsules Combined with Sacubitril Valsartan on Elderly Patients with Chronic Heart Failure
Objective:To investigate the effect of Tongxinluo Capsules combined with Sacubitril Valsartan on elderly patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Method:A total of 80 elderly patients with CHF treated in Longyan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Xiamen University from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected.They were divided into control group(n=39)and observation group(n=41)according to random number table method.Both groups were given conventional western medicine treatment,the control group was given Sacubactril Valsartan,the observation group was given Tongxinluo Capsules on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,cardiac function,oxidative stress index before treatment and after 3 months of treatment and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate of the observation group(95.12%)was higher than that of the control group(79.49%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 3 months of treatment,left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD)and left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD)in the two groups were decreased,left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)was increased,LVEDD and LVESD in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and LVEF was higher than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 3 months of treatment,superoxide dismutase(SOD)and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)levels in both groups were increased,and SOD and GSH-Px levels in observation group were higher than those in control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Using Tongxinluo Capsules combined with Sacubactril Valsartan can effectively improve the clinical efficacy,cardiac function and oxidative stress indexes for elderly patients with CHF,with good safety.
