Research Progress on the Relationship between Mood Disorders and Interleukin-6
At present, the relationship between the pathogenesis of mood disorders and immune inflammation is still unclear.More and more evidence shows that the pathophysiological mechanism of mood disorders is related to the dysregulation of immune inflammatory pathways. Most studies show that the concentration of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-6(IL-6)in peripheral blood of mood disorders increases. This paper summarizes the relationship between mood disorders and IL-6,so as to explore whether IL-6 can be used as a biomarker for the diagnosis of bipolar disorder and depression, and provide important references for the early diagnosis and standardized treatment of mood disorders.
