Effect of Yanning Syrup Combined with Interferon Therapy on the Recovery of Inflammation and Symptoms in Children with Acute Upper Respiratory Tract Infection
Objective:To observe the effect of Yanning syrup combined with interferon treatment on the recovery of inflammation and symptoms in children with acute upper respiratory tract infections.Method:120 cases of children with acute upper respiratory tract infections admitted to Union Jiangbei Hospital of Huazhong University of Science and Technology from December 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects,and were divided into a study group and a control group according to the method of randomized number table,with 60 cases in each group.The children in the control group were treated with interferon,while the children in the study group were treated with inflammatory syrup on the basis of the control group,and the clinical efficacy of the two regimens was compared.Result:The total effective rate of treatment and the levels of CD3+and CD4+of the children in the study group were higher than those of the control group,the TCM evidence points and the levels of CD8+,total white blood cells(WBC),neutrophils and C-reactive protein(CRP)were lower than those of the control group,and the time to stop coughing,the time to relief of nasal congestion and the time to abate fever were shorter than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Yanning syrup combined with interferon is more effective in the treatment of acute upper respiratory tract infections,which can significantly alleviate the clinical symptoms of children,reduce the respiratory tract inflammatory stimulation,improve the immune function,and improve the therapeutic utility.
