Effectiveness of Gegen Qinlian Decoction Combined with Baitouweng Decoction in the Treatment of Damp-Heat Type Ulcerative Colitis
Objective:To investigate the effect of applying Gegen Qinlian decoction combined with Baitouweng decoction in the treatment of patients with damp-heat type ulcerative colitis(UC).Method:98 cases of UC patients admitted to Putian Hanjiang Hospital from March 2021 to March 2023 were selected as the study subjects,and were divided into a control group and an observation group using the random number table method,with 49 cases in each group.The patients in the control group were given western medicine salicylazosulfapyridine treatment,and the patients in the observation group were treated with Gegen Qinlian decoction combined with Baitouweng decoction for a total of 4 weeks.The treatment effect,adverse reactions and recurrence of the two groups were compared.Result:Compared to the control group,the patients in the observation group had lower TCM symptom score,disease activity index(DAI)score,Baron endoscopy score and inflammatory factor and CD8+level after treatment,and they had higher CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+level than those in the control group.The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the relapse rate was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of UC patients with damp-heat type by applying Gegen Qinlian decoction combined with Baitouweng decoction can effectively reduce the inflammatory reaction,improve the immune function of patients,reduce the recurrence rate,which is safe and effective,and is conducive to accelerating the recovery process of UC.
