Analysis of the Characteristics and Influencing Factors of Pulmonary Infection Pathogens in the Intensive Care Unit of the People's Hospital of Funing County
Objective:To investigate the characteristics and influencing factors of pulmonary infections in ICU patients at Funing County People's Hospital.Method:A retrospective analysis of clinical data of 1 682 ICU patients from various departments from June 2021 to July 2023,focusing on the distribution of pulmonary pathogens.70 patients were randomly selected from 108 infected patients and 1 574 non-infected patients as infected group consisted of 70 cases and non-infected group consisted of 70 cases by random number table method.Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were applied to determine significant factors influencing pulmonary infections in ICU patients.Result:Within three years, among 1682 ICU patients,108 developed pulmonary pathogen infections.A total of 205 pathogens were isolated, including 147 Gram-negative bacteria(71.7%),30 Gram-positive bacteria(14.6%)and 28 fungi(13.7%).The analysis revealed that ICU stay duration,broad-spectrum antibiotic use duration, corticosteroid use duration, intubation, indwelling catheter use,and underlying diseases were significant factors. Conclusion:The ICU infections were predominantly caused by Gram-negative bacteria.Major factors leading to pulmonary infections in ICU patients included ICU stay duration, use of broad-spectrum antibiotics, corticosteroid application, intubation, and underlying diseases.
