Clinical Study of Chinese Medicine Health Education Combined with Auricular Acupressure on Menopause-Related Insomnia
Objective:To investigate the clinical status of patients with menopause-related insomnia and to analyze the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine health education combined with auricular acupoint pressure, with a view to providing scientific and theoretical guidance for clinical prognostic interventions for this group of patients.Method:66 cases of perimenopausal insomnia patients attending the Physical Examination Center of Rehabilitation Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2023 to January 2024 were selected as the study subjects, and they were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 33 cases in each group. The patients in the control group received Chinese medicine health education, and the patients in the observation group received auricular acupressure on this basis. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale(PSQI),Female Menopause Self-Test Scale(Kupperman)scores and insomnia efficacy were analyzed in the two groups.Result:The patients in the observation group had lower sleep quality, sleep duration, sleep disorders, time to fall asleep, sleep efficiency, daytime functioning and total PSQI scores than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the Kupperman score of patients in the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treating insomnia in patients of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:TCM health education combined with auricular acupressure can effectively treat menopause-related insomnia, improve patients'living habits, regulate the balance of yin and yang in the human body, promote the flow of qi and blood, and further improve insomnia symptoms and menopausal symptoms.
