Effect of L-shaped Release of Lateral Patellar Support Band under Arthroscopy on Patients with Lateral Patellar Compression Syndrome Combined with Patellofemoral Arthritis
Objective:To evaluate the effect of L-shaped release of lateral patellar support band under arthroscopy on patients with lateral patellar compression syndrome combined with patellofemoral arthritis.Method:A total of 80 patients with lateral patellar compression syndrome combined with patellofemoral arthritis were selected from February 2021 to February 2023 in Cangzhou Hospital of Integrated TCM-WM·HEBEI.They were divided into control group(n=40,odd)and observation group(n=40,even)according to ball-touching method. The control group was given linear release of the lateral patellar support band under arthroscopy, and the observation group was given L-shape release of the lateral patellar support band under arthroscopy. The clinical efficacy, preoperative and postoperative pain degree, patellar camber angle, knee joint function and inflammatory response were compared between the two groups.Result:The excellent and good rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After one month of operation, visual analogue scale(VAS)score of observation group was lower than control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 3 months of operation,Lysholm score and Kujala score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 3 months of operation, the erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)and C-reactive protein(CRP)levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:In patients with lateral patellar compression syndrome combined with patellofemoral arthritis,L-shaped release of the lateral patellar support band under arthroscopy is more effective than traditional linear release, which can significantly improve joint function and relieve pain, while reducing the levels of inflammatory markers ESR and CRP,thereby improving the overall treatment rate of excellent and good.
