Clinical Effect and Safety of 125I Radioactive Seed Implantation Combined with Local 3D-CRT in the Treatment of Elderly Patients with Advanced Non-small Cell Lung Cancer
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect and safety of 125I radioactive seed implantation combined with local three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy(3D-CRT)in the treatment of elderly patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Method:A total of 52 elderly patients with advanced NSCLC who first diagnosed by pathology in the Comprehensive Cancer Treatment Center of Zouping People's Hospital from June 2021 to March 2022 were selected as the research objects, the patients were divided into the experimental group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 26 cases in each group. The control group was treated with 3D-CRT,and the experimental group was treated with CT-guided 125I radioactive seed implantation in the peripheral lung lesions, and 3D-CRT was performed in the hilar and involved lymph node areas. The short-term efficacy and adverse reactions between two groups were compared.Result:The objective remission rate and disease control rate of the experimental group were 80.77%and 88.46%,respectively,which were higher than 46.15%and 57.69%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the incidence of grade Ⅰ and grade Ⅱ radiation pneumonitis in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);however,there were no significant differences in the incidence of grade Ⅰ and grade Ⅱ radiation esophagitis, bone marrow suppression and gastrointestinal reactions between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:125I radioactive seed implantation combined with local 3D-CRT has a significant short-term effect in the treatment of elderly patients with advanced NSCLC,and the incidence of adverse reactions is low.
