Effect of Transcatheter Patent Foramen Ovale Occlusion Combined with Flunarizine in the Treatment of Patients with PFO and Migraine
Objective:To analyze the effect of transcatheter patent foramen ovale(PFO)occlusion combined with Flunarizine in the treatment of patients with PFO and migraine.Method:A total of 84 patients with PFO and migraine who admitted to the People's Hospital of Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture from May 2021 to May 2023 were selected as the study objects, the patients were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with transcatheter PFO closure, and the observation group was treated with Flunarizine on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, headache attack, headache degree and quality of life were compared between two groups.Result:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in the headache attack, headache impact assessment scale-6(HIT-6)score and health survey scale(SF-36)score between two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the headache attack of two groups were better than those before treatment, the HIT-6 scores were lower than those before treatment, the scores of SF-36 each dimension were higher than those before treatment, and those in the observation group were better than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Transcatheter PFO occlusion combined with Flunarizine can reduce the degree of headache in patients with PFO and migraine, reduce the frequency of headache attacks and improve the quality of life.
