Effect of Mindfulness-based Cancer Recovery Combined with Acupoint Application of Chinese Medicine on Nausea and Vomiting Caused by Chemotherapy in Advanced Lung Cancer Patients
Objective:To investigate the effect of mindfulness-based cancer recovery(MBCR)combined with acupoint application of Chinese medicine on chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting in advanced lung cancer patients.Method:A total of 197 patients with advanced lung cancer received chemotherapy from the 910th Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Joint Logistics Support Force from January to September 2023 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into control group(n=98)and study group(n=99)by random number table method.During chemotherapy, the control group was given conventional antiemetic treatment,on the basis of which, the study group was given MBCR and Chinese medicine acupoint application. The incidence of chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting, the utilization rate of rescue therapy and the incidence of chemotherapy-related concomitant symptoms were compared between the two groups.Result:Compared with the control group, the incidence of chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting and the utilization rate of rescue therapy from the 1st day of chemotherapy to the 3rd day after chemotherapy in the study group were lower, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the incidence of chemotherapy-related concomitant symptoms in the study group was lower, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:MBCR combined with acupoint application of Chinese medicine can prevent nausea and vomiting after chemotherapy in patients with advanced lung cancer, and can improve the symptoms associated with chemotherapy such as fatigue, dizziness and abdominal distension.
