Effect of Bushen Huoxue Tiaojing Decoction Combined with Conventional Western Medicine in the Treatment of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
Objective:To investigate the effect of Bushen Huoxue Tiaojing Decoction combined with conventional western medicine in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS).Method:A total of 86 patients with PCOS admitted to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Fuzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2019 to January 2022 were selected.They were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method,with 43 cases in each group.The control group received conventional western medicine treatment and the observation group received Bushen Huoxue Tiaojing Decoction on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy after treatment,pregnancy condition,sex hormones,endometrial receptivity and follicle development condition before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate and pregnancy rate of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,both groups showed an increase in follicle stimulating hormone(FSH)and estradiol(E2),while testosterone(T),luteinizing hormone(LH),and LH/FSH decreased,the observation group had higher FSH and E2 levels than the control group,while T,LH,and LH/FSH levels were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the endometrial thickness increased in both groups,and the uterine spiral artery pulsatility index and uterine spiral artery resistance index decreased,the endometrial thickness in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,while the uterine spiral artery pulsatility index and uterine spiral artery resistance index were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the diameter and number of dominant follicles in both groups increased,the observation group had a higher diameter and number of dominant follicles than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Bushen Huoxue Tiaojing Decoction combined with conventional western medicine has remarkable effect in the treatment of PCOS,which can reduce the level of sex hormone,improve the receptivity of endometrium,promote follicle development and increase the pregnancy rate.
