Effect of Bifidobacterium Tetrad Viable Tablets Combined with Wheat Cellulose Granules in the Treatment of Functional Constipation in Children
Objective:To explore the effect of Bifidobacterium Tetrad Viable Tablets combined with Wheat Cellulose Granules in the treatment of functional constipation in children.Method:A total of 102 children with functional constipation who treated in Deyang People's Hospital from June 2022 to June 2023 were selected, they were divided into the control group and the study group by random number table method, with 51 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Lactulose Oral Solution, while the study group was treated with Bifidobacterium Tetrad Viable Tablets combined with Wheat Cellulose Granules on the basis of the control group. The therapeutic effect, intestinal mucosal barrier function[diamine oxidase(DAO),procalcitonin(PCT)],intestinal neurotransmitters[vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP),substance P(SP)],intestinal flora and constipation symptom scores were compared between two groups.Result:After treatment, compared with the control group, the total clinical effective rate of the study group was higher, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant difference in the intestinal mucosal barrier function, intestinal neurotransmitters, intestinal flora and constipation symptom scores between two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the DAO,PCT,VIP levels, defecation frequency score and defecation difficulty score in two groups were decreased, and those in the study group were lower, the SP,Bifidobacteria and lactic acid bacteria levels in two groups were increased, and those in the study group were higher, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Bifidobacterium Tetrad Viable Tablets combined with Wheat Cellulose Granules in the treatment of functional constipation in children can regulate the intestinal flora and intestinal neurotransmitters levels, protect the intestinal mucosal barrier function, and then alleviate clinical symptoms and improve clinical efficacy.
