Effect of Wrist and Ankle Acupuncture in the Treatment of Patients with Residual Lower Back Pain after PVP
Objective:To analyze the effect of wrist and ankle acupuncture in the treatment of patients with residual lower back pain after percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP).Method:A total of 78 patients with residual lower back pain after PVP were selected from Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Dade Road General Hospital from December 2022 to May 2023.According to random number table method,they were divided into group A and group B,39 cases in each group.Group A was given routine treatment,group B was given wrist and ankle acupuncture on the basis of group A.The clinical efficacy,pain condition,activity of daily living and dysfunction condition before treatment,after 7 d and 14 d of treatment of the two groups was compared.Result:After treatment,the total clinical effective rate of group B was higher than that of group A,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 7 d and 14 d of treatment,visual analogue scale(VAS)scores of group B were lower than those of group A,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 7 d and 14 d of treatment,the activities of daily life(ADL)scores of group B were higher than those of group A,the difference were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 7 d and 14 d of treatment,Oswestry disability index(ODI)scores in group B were lower than those in group A,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:In patients with residual lower back pain after PVP,wrist and ankle acupuncture treatment can effectively restore their function,relieve pain and improve activity ability,and the therapeutic effect is significant.
