Clinical Effect of Lateral Thrusting Manipulation on Cervical Radiculopathy
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of lateral thrusting maneuver on cervical radiculopathy.Method:60 patients with cervical radiculopathy hospitalized in Baise Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2022 to October 2023 were selected and divided into observation group and control group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with cervical spine manipulation combined with cervical comfortable traction, and orally diclofenac sodium sustained-release tablets. On this basis, the observation group was treated with lateral thruster manipulation. The clinical efficacy of the two groups of patients was observed, and the quality of life score, visual analogue scale(VAS)score, cervical spine dysfunction index(NDI),TCM symptom score, serum inflammation index and the occurrence of adverse reactions during treatment were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the life quality score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).VAS score, cervical spine dysfunction index(NDI),TCM symptom score and serum inflammation index in observation group were lower than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Rotatory manipulation can significantly improve the pain degree, cervical spine function and quality of life in patients with radiculotic cervical spondylosis.Inhibition of inflammatory factors may be related to clinical outcomes.
