Effect of Metformin Combined with Letrozole Tablets on PCOS Patients
Objective:To observe the effect of Metformin combined with Letrozole Tablets on polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)patients.Method:A total of 100 PCOS patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Suzhou University from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects.They were divided into Letrozole group and combined group according to random number table method,with 50 cases in each group.Letrozole group was given Letrozole Tablets,and combined group was given Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets on the basis of Letrozole group.The clinical efficacy after treatment,related indexes and sex hormone indexes before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Result:After treatment,the total effective rate of combined group was higher than that of Letrozole group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,endometrial thickness increased and bilateral ovarian volume decreased in both groups,the endometrial thickness in combined group was higher than that in Letrozole group,and bilateral ovarian volume was lower than that in Letrozole group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,testosterone(T),anti-Mullerian hormone(AMH),dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate(DHEA-S)levels were decreased in both groups,the levels of T,AMH and DHEA-S in combined group were lower than those in Letrozole group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Metformin combined with Letrozole Tablets can reduce the levels of serum T,AMH and DHEA-S in PCOS patients,improve the ovarian volume and endometrial thickness,and improve the therapeutic effect.
