Application of Iodine Imitation Calcium Hydroxide Oral Antibacterial Paste Root Canal Sealing Therapy in Patients with Chronic Periapical Inflammation
Objective:To explore the application of Iodine Imitation Calcium Hydroxide Oral Antibacterial Paste root canal sealing therapy in patients with chronic periapical inflammation.Method:A total of 86 patients with chronic periapical inflammation treated in Liuzhi Special Zone People's Hospital from June 2021 to June 2022 were selected.According to the method of random number table,they were divided into control group and study group,43 cases in each group.Root canal treatment was performed in both groups.The control group was treated with formalcresol solution root canal sealing drug therapy and the study group was treated with Iodine Imitation Calcium Hydroxide Oral Antibacterial Paste root canal sealing drug therapy.Pain degree,masticatory function,satisfaction,periodontal indexes before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Result:After treatment,visual analogue scale(VAS)and masticatory function scores of both groups were decreased,and VAS and masticatory function scores of observation group were lower than those of control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total satisfaction of the study group(95.35%)was higher than that of the control group(81.40%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,gingival sulcus bleeding index(SBI),periodontal probing depth(PD),plaque index(PLI)and gingival index(GI)were all decreased in both groups,and SBI,PD,PLI and GI in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Iodine Imitation Calcium Hydroxide Oral Antibacterial Paste root canal sealing drug therapy can improve chewing function and periodontal index,reduce pain degree,with high patient satisfaction.
