Application Value of Colon Hydrotherapy Combined with Polyethylene Glycol Electrolytes Powder in Bowel Preparation before Colonoscopy in Patients with Chronic Constipation
Objective:To analyze the application value of colon hydrotherapy combined with Polyethylene Glycol Electrolytes Powder(PGEP)in bowel preparation before colonoscopy in patients with chronic constipation.Method:A total of 120 patients with chronic constipation undergoing colonoscopy admitted to the 909th Hospital from January to December 2023 were selected.According to random number table method,the patients were divided into study group and control group,60 cases in each group.The control group was given PGEP intestinal preparation,and the study group was given colon hydrotherapy combined with PGEP intestinal preparation.Intestinal cleanliness,comfort of intestinal preparation and safety were compared between the two groups.Result:The qualified rate of intestinal preparation in the study group was higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The comfort rate of intestinal preparation in the study group was higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion:For patients with chronic constipation who need colonoscopy,colon hydrotherapy combined with PGEP preparation programme can improve intestinal cleanliness,and the patient comfort is good.
