Research Progress on Correlation between Serum Uric Acid and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)is a common chronic respiratory system disease. Its occurrence and development are closely related to inflammatory reactions and oxidative stress.Serum uric acid increases inflammatory reactions by inducing endogenous immune cells.Uric acid further increases in hypoxic conditions, promoting inflammation and oxidative stress reactions, affecting lung tissue ventilation function.Serum uric acid levels can serve as an important indicator for evaluating the severity of the patient's condition, treatment effectiveness, and prognosis, but its biological mechanism still requires further research confirmation. In this regard, this article reviews the association between serum uric acid and COPD.
