Clinical Efficacy and Safety of Combined Spinal and Epidural Anesthesia for Elderly Femoral Fractures Patients
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect and safety of combined spinal and epidural anesthesia in elderly patients with femoral fracture.Method:A total of 80 elderly patients with femoral fracture in Zheng'an County People's Hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the observation objects. The patients were divided into observation group and control group by different anethesia method, with 40 cases in each group. The observation group was given combined spinal and epidural anesthesia, and the control group was given general anesthesia.Clinical indicators, safety, pain and cognitive function were compared between the two groups.Result:After 1 h of anesthesia and at suturing, the heart rate, mean arterial pressure and blood oxygen saturation of the control group were lower than before anesthesia, and the heart rate, mean arterial pressure and blood oxygen saturation of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).During operation, the incidence of adverse reactions in observation group was lower than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).At 6 h after operation, visual analogue scale (VAS) scores in both groups were lower than before operation, and observation group was lower than control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).On the 1 d after operation, mini mental state examination scale (MMSE) scores of both groups were lower than those before operation, but the observation group was higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of combined spinal and epidural anesthesia in elderly patients with femoral fracture can ensure the quality of anesthesia, maintain the stability of various clinical indicators and ensure the safety of anesthesia, and the recovery of postoperative cognitive function of patients is faster.
