Intervention Effect of Therapeutic Communication on Patients with Early Gastric Cancer before ESD
Objective:To explore the intervention effect of therapeutic communication on patients with early gastric cancer before endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD).Method:A multi-stage cluster sampling method was used to select 142 patients who diagnosed with early gastric cancer and prepared for ESD in Binzhou Medical University Hospital from August 2022 to November 2023 as the study subjects,the 71 subjects from August 2022 to March 2023 were as the control group,and the 71 subjects from April to November 2023 were as the intervention group.The control group was given routine nursing and general communication,and the intervention group was given therapeutic communication on the basis of the control group.The basic data questionnaire,Chinese version of Mishel uncertainty of illness scale and cancer coping modes questionnaire were used to investigate the basic data,illness uncertainty and coping style of two groups.Result:The scores of uncertainty in illness and each dimension and the average scores of avoidance and depression,surrender,fantasy and venting items in the intervention group were lower than those in the control group,and the average scores of facing items and medical treatment were higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:Therapeutic communication is effective in improving the illness uncertainty,coping style and medical treatment of patients with early gastric cancer before ESD.
