Cough variant asthma (CVA) is a special type of asthma in which chronic cough is the main or only clinical manifestation.In recent years,the incidence of CVA continues to rise,affecting people's normal daily life.Conventional western medicine treatment can only temporarily relieve its symptoms,but can not be completely cured,resulting in the recurrence of the disease,the overall effect is not good.Chinese medicine treatment of CVA has rich experience and a long history.In this paper,the etiology and pathogenesis of CVA,syndrome differentiation and Chinese medicine treatment are discussed to provide theoretical basis for community treatment.
