Effect of Scalp Acupuncture in the Treatment of Non-space Occupying Vascular Headache
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of scalp acupuncture in the treatment of non-space occupying vascular headache.Method:A total of 70 patients with non-space occupying vascular headache who admitted to Rehabilitation Hospital Affiliated of Xiangnan University from April 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the research objects, the patients were divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional western medicine treatment, the observation group was treated by scalp acupuncture based on the control group. The efficacy, headache symptoms, blood flow status[blood flow velocity of middle cerebral artery(MCA),posterior cerebral artery(PCA),basilar artery(BA)and vertebral artery(VA)],sleep quality[Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)]and quality of life[36-item short form health survey(SF-36)]before and after treatment were compared between two groups.Result:The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.14%,which was higher than that 82.86%of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment, the number of headache attacks in two groups were less than those before treatment, the duration of headache were shorter than those before treatment, the scores of headache degree and accompanying symptoms were lower than those before treatment, and those in the observation group were better than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment, the blood flow velocities of MCA,PCA,BA and VA in two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in the observation group were lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment, the PSQI scores of two groups were lower than those before treatment, the SF-36 scores were higher than those before treatment, and the PSQI score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the SF-36 score was higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The effect of scalp acupuncture in the treatment of non-space occupying vascular headache is significant, which can effectively improve headache symptoms, sleep quality and quality of life.
