Application Effect of Nursing Based on Symptom Management Theory in Patients Undergoing Endoscopic Sinus Surgery for Chronic Sinusitis
Objective:To analyze the application effect of nursing based on symptom management theory in patients undergoing endoscopic sinus surgery for chronic sinusitis.Method:A total of 254 patients with chronic sinusitis undergoing endoscopic sinus surgery admitted to Longyan First Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University from January to December 2023 were selected.According to the admission time, they were divided into a control group(n=129)and an observation group(n=125).The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received nursing based on symptom management theory on the basis of control group. The treatment effect of the two groups was compared, and the pain degree of the two groups was evaluated at 24 h and 48 h after surgery by numeric rating scale(NRS).The occurrence of complications such as nasal bleeding, periorbital congestion and infection were recorded in the two groups, and the nursing satisfaction of the two groups was compared.Result:The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At 24 h and 48 h after surgery, the pain level in the observation group was better than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The overall satisfaction with nursing in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of nursing based on symptom management theory for patients undergoing endoscopic sinus surgery for chronic sinusitis can effectively improve nursing effectiveness, alleviate postoperative pain and discomfort, reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications, and achieve high nursing satisfaction.
