Effect of Acupuncture at Hand Sanyang Shu Acupoint Combined wiht Jiaji Electroacupuncture in the Treatment of Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy
Objective:To analyze the effect of acupuncture at the Hand Sanyang Shu acupoint combined with Jiaji electroacupuncture in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.Method:A retrospective study was conducted on 130 patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy admitted to Zhangzhou People's Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022.According to the different treatment methods,they were divided into control group and observation group,with 65 cases in each group.The control group was treated with acupuncture,while the observation group was treated with acupuncture at the Hand Sanyang Shu acupoint combined with Jiaji electroacupuncture.The clinical efficacy after treatment,pain level,functional recovery,and quality of life between two groups before and after treatment were compared.Result:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the visual analogue scale(VAS)scores of both groups decreased,while the Tanaka Yasuhisa cervical disease symptom scale score increased,the observation group had a higher score on the Tanaka Yasuhisa cervical disease symptom scale than the control group,and a lower VAS score than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the physiological function,overall health,social function,vitality,physical pain,role physical,emotional function,and mental health scores of the both groups were increased,and the scores in the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:For patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy,the treatment of acupuncture at the hand Sanyang Shu acupoint combined with electroacupuncture at the spine clip has a definite effect,which is beneficial for promoting functional recovery,reducing pain,and improving patients'quality of life.
