Effect of Modified Maxing Shigan Decoction on Acute Exacerbation of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Patients
Objective:To analyze the effect of modified Maxing Shigan Decoction on acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD)patients.Method:A total of 100 patients with AECOPD who admitted to the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of Anxi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the research objects, the patients were divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was given routine western medicine treatment, the study group was treated with modified Maxing Shigan Decoction on the basis of the control group, and two groups were treated for 14 d.The pulmonary function indexes, arterial blood gas indexes, serum inflammatory indexes, traditional Chinese medicine symptom score and treatment effect were compared between two groups.Result:After 14 d of treatment, the forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),peak expiratory flow(PEF),FEV1/forced vital capacity(FVC)in two groups were higher than those before treatment, and those in the study group were higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 14 d of treatment, the partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)and arterial oxyhemoglobin saturation(SaO2)in two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2)were lower than those before treatment,PaCO2 in the study group after 14 d of treatment was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in PaO2 and SaO2 between the two groups after 14 d of treatment(P>0.05).After 14 d of treatment, the C-reactive protein(CRP),procalcitonin(PCT)and traditional Chinese medicine symptoms scores in two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in the study group were lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Modified Maxing Shigan Decoction is beneficial to improve the respiratory function and therapeutic effect of AECOPD patients, reduce the inflammatory response and relieve the clinical symptoms.
