Anal fistula is a common anorectal disease with complicated pathogenesis and difficult treatment.At present,the medical community generally believes that surgery is the best way to treat anal fistula.However,the postoperative complications of anal fistula are frequent,and the wound healing problem is still a big difficulty.This article started from the external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and the wound healing mechanism after anal fistula surgery,this paper summarized the research situation of promoting wound healing after anal fistula surgery by external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine,fumigation and bathing of traditional Chinese medicine,acupuncture and other mainstream external treatment methods in recent five years,aiming at clarifying the important role of external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine in wound healing after anal fistula surgery and providing certain reference value for contemporary postoperative treatment of anal fistula.
