The Effect of Combination Therapy of Butylphthalide and Naomaitai on Cognitive Impairment Patients after Stroke
Objective:To investigate the specific effects of using butylphthalide combined with Naomaiti in patients with cognitive impairment after stroke.Method:A total of 200 patients with post-stroke cognitive dysfunction admitted to Qinghai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2021 to September 2023 were selected as the study objects and divided into control group while observation group by random number table method, with 100 cases in each group. The control group received oral butylphthalein therapy, and the observation group received oral butylphthalein combined with oral nomai therapy. Both groups received continuous treatment for 3 months, and they were followed up for 4 months. The levels of neurological impairment(NIHSS),modified Rankin scale(MRS),cognitive function score(MMSE),serum brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF),serum homocysteine level(HCY)and cerebrovascular function were compared between the two groups.Result:After treatment, the NIHSS score and MRS score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the MMSE was higher than that of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).After treatment, the BDNF of the observation group patients was higher than that of the control group, and the HCY was lower than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse events in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of butylphthalein and Naomaitai is effective in patients with cognitive dysfunction after stroke, which can promote the recovery of neurological function, improve cognitive function, and effectively regulate serum BDNF and HCY indexes.
