Observation on the Clinical Efficacy of Moxibustion Combined with Microwave Therapy and Antibiotics in the Treatment of Chronic Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
Objective:To observe the effects of moxibustion combined with physical therapy and antibiotic treatment on symptom improvement and quality of life in patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease(CPID).Method:85 CPID patients treated at Jinshazhou Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine from June 2022 to December 2023 were selected and randomly divided into a control group(n=43 cases)and an observation group(n=42 cases)using a random number table method. The control group received antibiotics and microwave therapy, while the observation group received moxibustion therapy on the basis of the control group. The total score of signs and symptoms,quality-of-life(QOL)score and total effective rate were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Result:After treatment, the total score of physical signs and symptoms in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment for 1 and 2 courses, the QOL scores of patients in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Moxibustion combined with physical therapy and antibiotic treatment can effectively improve the symptoms of CPID patients, improve treatment effectiveness and patients'quality of life.
